Human Resource Management practice is the foundation for building a successful and
sustainable organization. By focusing on their people, companies can achieve their goals,
maximize their potential, and create a positive impact on society. The aim of this study was to
investigate the effects of Human Resource Management practice on employee performance in the
case of Dashen Brewery factory, Debre Birhan. The study was employed quantitative research
approach with explanatory research design in order to measure the effects of Human Resource
Management practices on employee’s performance. The study was focused on Human Resource
Management Practices like Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance
Appraisal, and Reward and Compensation, as independent variables and Employee Performance
as dependent variable. To address research objectives the study was used self-administered
questionnaire to collect primary data from employees of factory by using simple random
probability sampling technique. The collected data was analyzed through descriptive statistics,
correlation and regression analysis by applying statistical package for social science (SPSS)
version 26 software. The major Findings of the study are Training and development;
Recruitment and selection and Performance Appraisal have significantly affected the Employee
Performance. Human Resource management practices have positive correlations with Employee
performance. The current practices of Human Resource Management at Dashen Brewery S.C
are weak as per the standard measurement. |
