Abstract:
Supply chain drivers have become a potentially valuable way of securing competitive advantage through enhancing and improving organizational performances. This study was focused on investigating, analyzing, and examining the impact of supply chain drivers on organizational performance in the case of some selected large manufacturing firms in Debre Birhan town, Ethiopia. The study was employed explanatory research design to show the impact of supply chain drivers on organizational performance and was used as a quantitative research approach. The researcher has used both primary and secondary sources of data. Primary data were collected through self-administered questionnaires which consist of only closed-ended questionnaires and secondary data was gathered from articles, journals, and books. A total of 236 questionnaires were distributed to respondents; 223 were used for analysis, but 13 questionnaires were invalid. The sample size was 262. The study was used both probability and non-probability sampling techniques. From non-probability sampling techniques, the researcher was used as a convenience sampling technique to select the sampling unit from the total manufacturing firms. From the probability sampling method, the researcher has used both stratified (direct proportional Stratified) and simple random sampling techniques. A stratified sampling method was used to stratify the sampling unit into departments or strata. Direct proportional Stratified sampling method was used to determine the sample proportion (how many units have taken from each department or stratum); and also the simple random sampling method was used to distribute questionnaires for representatives. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used to analyze the collected data. The relationships proposed in the framework were tested using Pearson correlation, and the causal relations were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of statistical package for social science (SPSS software version 23). Based on the finding of the study, there was a positive relationship between supply chain drivers and organizational performance and the study shown that supply chain drivers have a statistical significant impact that are positive on the performance of the organization, and have great contributions on organizational performance. Therefore, the researcher recommends that the manufacturing companies practice better management of supply chain drivers and give more weight for each supply chain divers.
