Abstract:
The main aim of this study is to undergo a research on the impact of motivation on employee performance in case of selected private commercial banks which are found in Debre Berhan town. This enables to understand the needs of employees to their intended objectives. Motivation plays a vital role nowadays in worldwide, for the organization in order to achieve their goal different motivational factor should be included to get the desired outcome. If the organization has motivated employees it is as such easy to meet the desired objective. So that it is important for the organization to create motivational program that improve motivation and consequently the performance of the organization and the employees. Census sampling techniques used for the study; hence all employee of selected private banks is included. Primary date was collected through questionnaires from the employees of different private commercial bank in Debre Berhan town. To undergo this research quantitative analysis method was applied, to analysis the data using statistical package for social science (SPSS) software version 25.the data is presented in descriptive and inferential statistics. Secondary data was collected from different book journal researches. Survey data collected from respondents analyzed using descriptive, correlation and regression analysis. This study revealed that management of the organization should be implemented different motivational strategies to motivate their employee in baking industry. The correlation result shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between all employee motivation factors and employee performance.
