This research was aimed at identifying the major determinate variables that influence javelin and
discus throw performance. The research was employed descriptive survey and inferential statistics.
The participants of this study were 11 discus, 12 javelin thrower and 9 coaches, 2 managers and 2
coordinator were involved in the study. The purposive sampling techniques are used to conduct and select the respondents. Methods of data gathering tools were used to structure questioner’s in
depth interview and observation have been employed. The data have been analyzed and
interpreted based on both quantitative and qualitative method. Correlation analysis and multi-
linear regression is used to analysis the quantitative data obtain from research questions. For the
interview an open ended questions and the data can be obtained through observation and
documentation it is described form of qualitative explanation methods & percentage is used to
analyze all descriptive survey and based on the characteristics of respondents such as age, sex,
educational qualification and experience. As the findings showed that, knowledge, skill and
technique gape have been observed in both athletes and coaches, lack of interest and
commitment of coaches, athletes ,coordinators and managers for the throwing event and the
training program is not conceded as the level of athletes performance ,experience and training
age, coaches have little emphasis for scientific ways of anthropometric measurement and athlete
recruitment procedure, lack of clear communication and discussion between coaches and athletes
for their training plan, coaches have good management and leadership qualities and lack of
necessary sport facilities standardize gymnasium materials.

Coaches have been thought of as influential elements of athletes‟ success in clubs. The purpose of this study was to investigate the practice of coaches on athlete development phases in the case of athletic clubs of Tigray. All groups have been selected of six clubs 66 athletes and 12 coaches. Data collected using questionnaire, semi-structured interview, field observation used. Stratified probability random sampling and purposive non probability sampling was employed to select samples. The questionnaires were administrated to coaches and athletes of the club; semistructured interview was conducted with club managers. Descriptive cross sectional method was employed. The data gathered through questionnaires were analyzed by using percentage and the data gathered through interview were analyzed by descriptive statement. Finally, the results found from analysis of the data revealed from that the practice of coaches on athlete development phase in the case of athletic clubs of Tigray were investigated.

The purpose of this study was to assess sport stakeholders practices in managing and delivering physical activities for PWVI. Special attention was paid to challenges which may influence practices of stakeholders in managing participation of PWVI in physical activity and opportunities which help them to recognize the matter of improved participation. Concurrent triangulation design of research was employed. The study was conducted in Northe Shewa Zone of Amhara Region. Among the 25 woredas of the Zone, 7 of them were selected through purposeful sampling technique as sample woredas.114stakeholders taken as respondant. The main instrument of data collection was questionnaire. Four basic questions focusing on the strategies, challenges, the availability of assistive technology and support of partners was answered. Frequency, percentage, t-test, infirtial statics were utilized to analyses quantitative data gained through the questionnaire. The qualitative data gathered thorough FGD, document review and observation were narrated. The finding of the study revealed that Stakeholders have limitation on strategies knowledge and experience on participating PWVI in physical activity and Shortage of knowledge and skill, Attitudes of stakeholders to physical activity of PWVI, challenges from parents and PWVI, planning deficiency, lack of communication way, shortage of assistive technology are the dominant challenges of stakeholders to don not participate PWVI in physical activities. Finally, recommendation was forwarded based on the major finding so as to minimizing problems encountered and maximizing the provision of physical activity for PWVI.

The purpose of this research was to assess decision making role and position of women in football in the case of north Showa zone. The total sample of the subject consists of 74 respondents from North Showa women’s football referees, coaches, players and member of executive committee selected purposively. To conduct this research the investigator used descriptive survey method. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods were employed. In this line, the researcher used three types of data gathering tools; these are questionnaires, interview and document analysis, and the collected data presented in the form of tabulation and analyzed by deep count and percentage. The result of the study indicates that the extent of women participation in football coaches, referees were very low, and there was no women representative member at the executive committee because there were some variables/challenges which affect the participation of women in decision making role at North Showa football. The challenges includes socio cultural influence, lack of conducive environment, insufficient community, government non-governmental organization support, physiological factors, inadequate sport equipment, insufficient payment/salary, shortage of capacity building for women, fear of conflict with players, lack of opportunity to be a leader, lack of proper motivation and recognition, and presence of religious factors were the major mention problems, and in order to enhance the participation of women in the decision making role.
